Description
The Pace Academy School Ring features its coat of arms, which was created by the school’s first headmaster, Frank D. Kaley, shortly after the school opened in 1958. Mr. Kaley personally created the coat of arms to exemplify the values he hoped to imbue to the Pace community: attitudes of generosity, courage, championship of the poor and feeble, adherence to truth and righteousness over falsehood and injustice, and love of one’s land, place and people. It prominently features the school’s most enduring symbol, the Pace Knight, set atop a crest with three sections to depict several traditional symbols of academia and learning: a plume, an inkwell and an open book.
